ASO Quartet Demos
Traveling to schools throughout Arkansas, the Quapaw Quartet and Rockefeller Quartet are eight of the Arkansas Symphony's full-time musicians and educators. Four brand new 30 minute demos are offered every school year to introduce 2nd through 8th grade students to different concepts in music. Each demo can be linked to your class curriculum in many subjects. In addition, instrumental petting zoos give each student an up close experience with string instruments! Game Show Edition
Game Show Edition

See the string family come to life with the help of the Quapaw Quartet! Your students will learn new musical terms and conceepts as each member of the string family is introduced. The quartet will lead activities to enhance what your students have just learned. Complement this demo by adding an instrument petting zoo to give your students an exciting hands-on experience!* Top off your students' day with the chance to perform their prepared recorder piece with the pros! American Road Trip

All aboard! Follow the Quapaw Quartet as they guide you and your best friends on a trip visiting fun and exciting musical hot spots in the United States of America! Switch on your car stereo as you travel from place to place and learn while you listen to the distinctive music of each hot spot. Top off your students' day with the chance to perform their prepared recorder piece with the pros from "Recorder Karate!" Interactive and fun, this demo will take your students on an enjoyable, yet educational, ride!
Music Around the World

Have you ever had the chance to go to far-off countries? Have you traveled to exotic locations by plane or by sea? The Rockefeller Quartet can bring the essence of those lands ou've dreamed of right to your classroom. Jet set around the world with the Rockefeller Quartet as your guides and learn about an assortment of songs and styles from different countries around the world! Top off your students' day with the chance to perform their prepared recorder piece with the pros! Select a piece of your choice from "Recorder Karate." Bon voyage!
Fun & Games with Music
Duration: 30 min. for demo | 45 min. with petting zoo
Every kid dreams of recess while sitting at their desk during school time. Instead, bring recess to the classroom and let your students learn while they play! Music is not always as serious and stern as you might imagine. These musical selections will make any dreary day a bright and cheerful one. Let the Rockefeller Quartet play musical games with your students...they will have a great time while learning something new! *Instrument Petting Zoos

Give each of your students the chance to touch and play a violin, viola, and cello with the guidance of a quartet member. Complement and of the demos above by adding an instrument petting zoo! This hands on experience will be the highlight of the day!
