Carl Mason has performed with the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra trumpet section since the 1993-94 season and currently serves as 3rd trumpet with the orchestra and 2nd trumpet in the ASO Brass Quintet. Mr. Mason was principal trumpet of the Delta Symphony Orchestra (formerly the Northeast Arkansas Symphony) in Jonesboro, Arkansas from 1983 to 2003. Mr. Mason graduated from Arkansas State University with the Bachelor of Music Education degree in 1971 and the Master of Music Education degree in 1977. He has taught in the Hoxie Public Schools for the past 33 years; 19 years as band director and the past 14 years as elementary music instructor. He teaches privately and is an adjunct faculty member of Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge. He also maintains an active role and is a charter member of the Northeast Arkansas Chorale under the direction of Dr. Bob Magee of Williams Baptist College. He and his wife Beth reside in Walnut Ridge. They have three children and 8 grandchildren.
