Arkansas Symphony Orchestra Community Orchestra

Founded in 1998 at the University of Arkansas Little Rock, the Community Orchestra is now a part of the Education/Community outreach arm of the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.  The orchestra (ASOCO) provides a once-a-week musical experience in a positive and nurturing environment for amateur musicians.  All experience levels are welcome and no auditions are required. The group meets for 2 hours on Thursday evenings to play a wide variety of orchestral music and presents concerts twice a year for family, friends, and the public.

Please join the ASO Community Orchestra for an open rehearsal April 28, Byrne Hall, 6 p.m., St. John's Seminary. 2714 North Tyler Street.  There is no admission.  The orchestra is a part of the ASO's Educational Outreach program and provides an opportunity for interested amateur musicians at any performance and experience level who would like to play orchestra music once a week.  All are welcome and there are no auditions to be in the orchestra.
The orchestra will "work" on music by Khachaturian, Grieg, Mozart, Faure and Stamitz.  This will be an opportunity to visit with members of the orchestra during the rehearsal.
