The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra presents the 28th annual
SUMMER STRINGS CAMP
June 26 – 30, 2017
The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra announces a comprehensive five-day summer program for violin, viola, cello, and double bass players at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. Students must have had at least one year of string study on their particular instruments. Activities include chamber music ensembles, music theory and listening classes, and sectionals focusing on the South Region Orchestra audition materials. Camp will meet from 1:30 to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church in Little Rock. This wonderful week of music will conclude on Friday with a 4:30 pm performance for family and friends.
LOCATION: Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn Dr., Little Rock
(drop-off and pick-up should take place in the Lee Ave. circle drive and parking garage)
TUITION: $160 (cash, check, or credit card)
**Register before June 3 and receive an EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION of $135. (includes Camp T-Shirt)
The ASO will retain $50 on all cancellations made a minimum of one week prior to the start of camp.
“No-Shows” and cancellations after June 20 are not eligible for refunds of any kind.

FACULTY: All of our faculty are professional musicians and music educators, and many are members of the Arkansas Symphony. Casey Buck, Orchestra Director with Conway Public Schools, ASO cellist, and ASYO Preparatory Orchestra conductor, is the Summer Strings Camp Director.
PRIVATE LESSONS: A limited number of private lessons are available before or after the regular program. Lessons should be arranged on the first day of the program on a first-come, first-served basis with the instructor of your choice. Fees will be determined by each teacher and should be paid directly to the instructor.
