The Platypus Players

The Platypus Players – our name is fun, and so are our performances! Our mission is to create memorable experiences for audiences of all ages through music and storytelling.

While an animated narrator tells well known tales (such as Little Red Riding Hood, The Emperor’s New Clothes, or Rumpelstiltsken), music especially written to enhance these stories is played by an oboe, violin, viola, cello and piano.

The result is a memorable program with multi-generational appeal. Perfect for community family concerts, employee/family appreciation events or just pure enjoyment, the Platypus Players would love to work with you to create a unique musical experience!

The Platypus Players
  Beth Wheeler, oboe
  Trisha McGovern Freeney, violin
  Tze-Ying Wu, viola
  Ethan Young, cello
  Naoki Hakutani, piano
