Symphonie Fantastique

Eric Jacobsen, conductor

Simone Porter, violin

ASO is thrilled to bring to Arkansas the talents of guest conductor Eric Jacobsen, known for his work with such elite orchestral ensembles as Brooklyn Rider, The Knights, and the Silk Road Project. Jacobsen leads the ASO through a program of ever-increasing scope, beginning with an expanded version of Boulanger’s D’un Matin de Printemps (Of a Spring Morning) to the powerful and symphonic rendition of an artist’s unrequited love and descent into madness: Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
