Carl Mason

CarlMasonCarl Mason has performed with the ASO trumpet section since the 1993-94 season and currently serves as 3rd trumpet with the orchestra.  Mr. Mason was principal trumpet of the Delta Symphony Orchestra (formerly the Northeast Arkansas Symphony) in Jonesboro, Arkansas from 1983 to 2003.  Mr. Mason  holds Bachelor and Master of Music education degrees from Arkansas State University.  He is now retired after 41 years of public school band and elementary music teaching.  He teaches privately and is an adjunct faculty member of Williams Baptist College in Walnut Ridge.  He also maintains an active role and is a charter member of the Northeast Arkansas Chorale under the direction of Dr. Bob Magee of Williams Baptist College.  He and his wife Beth reside in Jonesboro.  They have three children and 8 grandchildren.
