“Over the past two years, ASO has lost musicians, board members, volunteers, staff, and donors that served the orchestra and our community over the course of their lives. We wanted to honor and celebrate the gifts they gave us during their lifetime and could not think of a better way than to offer a free concert for the community to close our 21-22 season,” said ASO CEO Christina Littlejohn. “This concert is an opportunity for all of us to come together, heal together and celebrate those we have lost.”
Conducted by Geoff Robson, the program features music that is reflective, human and joyous. Soloists include ASO Concertmasters Drew Irvin and Kiril Laskarov performing Bach Concerto for Two Violins and guest vocalist Nisheedah Golden performing “Hold Fast to Dreams” by Florence Price.
The community is invited to join ASO for this FREE Memorial Concert. Space/Tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis and space permitting. The free concert concludes ASO’s 2021–2022 concert season which began with Celebrate Little Rock, Together, another free concert celebrating the community’s diverse musical traditions.
A list of those memorialized will be displayed during the concert. Click here to add a name to the memorial list.
