As a Music Director/Conductor, Producer and Arranger Ron has worked all across the United States, Asia & Europe.
He was the Conductor for the Los Angeles Premier of Dr. Suess’ How The Grinch Stole Christmas starring John Larrouquette at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Before that he was the Music Director/Conductor for Grinch at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego for 7 years. Also, at the Old Globe, he was the Associate Conductor for Dancing In The Dark starring Scott Bakula. Ron was the Assistant Conductor for the 1st National Tour of the Tony Award winning musical Hairspray. Regional theater: A Chorus Line, Chicago, Into The Woods, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Sophisticated Ladies, Once On This Island, Man Of LaMancha. He was the vocal coach for the premier of Moises Kaufman’s play 33 VARIATIONS starring Jayne Atkinson at the La Jolla Playhouse, and played keyboard for the US premier of Hunchback Of Notre Dame written by Stephen Swartz and Alan Menken. He has played keyboard for the following National tours: Wicked, Legally Blonde, A Chorus Line, Jersey Boys, Avenue Q, Movin’ Out, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels with Norbert Leo Butz and King & I starring Stephanie Powers.
As a Producer, Ron has enjoyed a long working relationship with Walt Disney Entertainment on the following shows: Fantasmic, Mickey’s Mix Magic and World Of Color: Season of Light at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. For Tokyo Disneyland’s 35th Anniversary; Celebrate Tokyo Disneyland and Dreaming Up! Parade. As well as Gifts Of Christmas and Fantasmic. Before that he was the music producer for Disneyland Paris’ 25th Anniversary Parade, Disney Stars On Parade and Nighttime Castle Spectacular Illuminations. And in 2016 he was one of the Music Producers for the Grand Opening of Shanghai Disneyland where he worked on Mickey’s Storybook Express Parade and Ignite.
Also in May 2016 he was the Music Director/Conductor for the San Diego Centennial Celebration in Balboa Park conducting a 50 piece orchestra and 100 voice choir (https://youtu.be/GXcu2MoBujg).
As an Arranger, Ron has written for such companies as Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disneyland, Premier Cruise Lines, Huis Ten Bosch, PacifiCare, Coldwell Banker, CSK Auto, Inc., Mutual of Omaha, Sesame Street Live, the United Way, Herberger Theater Center, Hyatt Regency Casino (Thesaloniki, Greece), The Citrus Bowl half-time show and Los Posada in San Antonio. He has several choral arrangements in publication and was an orchestrator for the Disney DVD/Video Lion King 1 1/2. Most recently, he was the vocal arranger for John Debney’s score on the feature film Isn’t It Romantic starring Rebel Wilson and Liam Hemsworth.
