The Preservation Hall Jazz Band
May 9 & 10, 2008
Preservation Hall Jazz Band
From the heart of the French Quarter comes the authentic sound of traditional New Orleans jazz. Charter members of PHJB played with Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong -- the legacy lives on in today's band with songs like "Tiger Rag," "A Closer Walk With Thee," and "When The Saints Go Marchin' In." Good times are guaranteed to roll!
Come early for a "taste of New Orleans." The ASO will host a pre-concert party on the front steps of Robinson Center Music Hall prior to each performance. Second Line to the sounds of the Happy Tymes Jazz Band. Enjoy red beans and rice, courtesy of Starving Artist Cafe. Then catch a few beads. It will be like Mardi Gras in May!
