Magdalena Ryszkowski joined the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra in September 2009, and is active as a solo and orchestral musician in the United States and Europe. Magdalena made her chamber recital debut at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City in January 2002. Ever since her debut, Magdalena played as soloist with Warsaw Chamber Ensemble, National Polish Symphony, Montclair Chamber Ensemble and played with numerous orchestras in NY, NJ, PA and MI. In her native Poland she played under the batons of Jerzy Maksymiuk, Zbigniew Graca and others. She was also a featured artist in television series "Evening with the microphone".

Mrs. Ryszkowski is a laureate of St. Louis Young Artists Competition in St. Louis, Missouri, winner of the Concerto Competition at John J. Cali School of Music in Montclair, New Jersey and recipient of the Oscar Ravina Talent Grand Award and Certificate of Achievement in Music Performance from Montclair State University, New Jersey.

Magdalena received her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Music Performance from Montclair State University, NJ and Graduate Certificate in Orchestral Studies from Wayne State University, MI.

Her primary teachers have included Oscar Ravina – New York Philharmonic violinist, Yi -wen Jiang - Shanghai Quartet violinist and Hai-Xin Wu - Assistant Concertmaster of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to performing, for over fifteen years Magdalena has been privately teaching many violin students which over years had high success rate of admission to youth orchestras and violin performance programs such as Yale University or University of Michigan. Currently, Magdalena is violin faculty at The Hendrix College, in Conway, AR.

In her spare time, she enjoys relaxing at home with her husband Jan and two sons, Stas and Michal.
