Diane McVinney

Flute

Diane McVinney, Flutist, grew up in Greenfield, Wisconsin. Graduate studies led to a Performance Certificate in Chamber Music from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master of Music degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She has been 2nd flutist with the Arkansas Symphony since 1994, and for 20 years was principal flutist with the Pine Bluff Symphony, performing as featured soloist at their final concert. Diane is flutist with the Etesian Winds woodwind quintet, and frequently performs flute duets with her husband, Barry.

During the day she is Coding Manager for Ophthalmology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Diane loves spending time with her family and two cats, singing in the church choir, and taking long walks.
