Jake Fowler

Bassoon 3 & Contrabassoon

Bassoonist Jake Fowler has been regarded by American Conductor Mark Powell as possessing “deeply committed musical eloquence tied to singularly mad technical skills.” Fowler has performed alongside such organizations as The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and The New World Symphony. Fowler attended the Eastman School of Music for his Bachelor’s as well as his Master’s Degrees where he was also awarded a Performers Certificate. At Eastman he studied under professors George Sakakeeny and John Hunt.

When he isn’t performing or at the reed desk Jake enjoys playing tennis, reading a good book, and taking care of his basset hound puppy named Boone.
