Through the generosity of many donors, Tuition Scholarships are available to those requiring one. Please complete your online application no later than September 30th. Scholarships do not carry over from year to year. A new application must be completed each year.
John and Karen Flake Endowed Scholarship Award
For student enrolled at least for one year
The John and Karen Flake Scholarship is awarded annually to provide tuition assistance to those students who have excelled in the ASYE Program and who have demonstrated their leadership and commitment to the Youth Orchestra Program and to their individual musical study. Funds shall be used to enable the student to attend a premier summer music camp of their choosing. Award shall be made to any Youth Orchestra student in any section of that group. Recipients must be eligible members of the Youth Orchestra and must have been a member of the orchestra for at least one year prior to being named a recipient. Those students interested in being considered may submit a one-page essay outlining their desire to attend a camp and rationale for being selected. The essay shall be submitted to the Director of Education, Beth Robison, brobison@arkansassymphony.org, no later then September 10th. The recipient of the award shall be recognized at the ASO’s Annual Opus Ball.
