It is with great honor and excitement that we personally invite you to join us in continuing to support music education efforts for Arkansas children on November 11, 2017 at the Robinson Center and newly-renovated DoubleTree Hotel for Opus XXXIII – Arkansas’ Finest. This evening of entertainment will feature the finest youth orchestra program, the finest dining experience, the finest wine and liquor, and the finest live entertainment.

New this year, the event will feature an extended cocktail hour and silent auction using online bidding in the Robinson Center Ballroom overlooking the Arkansas River. As you mingle with friends and bid on auction items from your phone, you will hear special music performed by over 200 Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestra musicians and enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, including sushi prepared by restaurateur Jerry Barakat and his amazing sushi chef, Alex Guzman. In addition to sushi bars, a bar provided by ROXOR, a Texas-based artisan gin soon to hit the the Little Rock market, will be serving specialty cocktails.

A four-course dinner will be served in the newly-renovated DoubleTree Hotel Ballroom with seating “theatre-in-the-round” style. Each delicious course will be prepared by Central Arkansas’ favorite chefs: Payne Harding, Tim Morton, and Evette Brady of Cache Restaurant, along with famed restaurateur Denis Seyer. The evening’s selections will be paired with three different delectable and lovely wines facilitated by Cache sommelier, Jeff Yant, and donated by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits.

During dinner, emcee and ASO friend, Craig O’Neill, will be center stage to encourage bidders at the shortened Live Auction and donors to the Education Challenge. Long-time Opus Ball supporter Sissy’s Log Cabin is the featured Live Auction sponsor, and the auction will include some of their most gorgeous selections. You will be able to track the progress of the Education Challenge and the auctions on video screens placed around the center stage.

After dinner, follow us back to the Robinson Center Ballroom to dance with the Rodney Block Band in the transformed lounge with furniture from Hank’s Event Rentals. To end your night in style, there are exquisite overnight stay packages available for the Capital Hotel and the DoubleTree Hotel.

Opus Ball XXXIII seating is limited. To ensure your place at this elegant evening, we invite you to join us as Sponsors or Patrons. Stay tuned for information on this year’s exciting Patrons’ Party and all-new Pre-Ball VIP Event! Enclosed is an information and benefits listing on these opportunities. With the success of past Opus Balls, we do expect that we will be sold out and will have a waiting list.

To take full advantage of Patron benefits and secure your seats, please reserve your Opus Ball XXXIII table or sponsorship as soon as possible. For any questions that you may have, please contact Tiffany Mattzela at (501) 666-1761, ext. 114 or tmattzela@ArkansasSymphony.org.

Thank you for helping us invest in our community and music for generations. We look forward to seeing you on November 11 at Opus XXXIII – Arkansas’ Finest.

Our sincerest thanks,

Susan and Herren Hickingbotham
