ASO Musicians Perform Free Concert at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences
LITTLE ROCK, AR. (March 12, 2026) — The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra (ASO) presents the spring concert of the Dr. Ruth Marie Allen Concert Series at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the Hospital Lobby Gallery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The program will include ASO musicians performing works by Felix Mendelssohn and Edvard Grieg.
Allen, the former associate dean for academic affairs in the UAMS College of Health Professions, endowed the concert series before her death in 2023, aiming to “promote the beautiful music of the ASO” and to provide the opportunity for celebration and renewal to hardworking UAMS students, staff and faculty.
The concert is free and open to the public. Attendees should park in Parking 1 and take the elevator to the first floor, then turn right to reach the Hospital Lobby Gallery, which will be straight ahead.

About The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra
